Inferno kills three siblings in Bayelsa

Elebele community in Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa State was thrown into mourning Thursday night as three siblings were roasted alive when fire gutted their home.
The deceased all male, were identified as Daniel Udoh, Saviour Udoh and Joshua Udoh.
The inferno which was caused by a candle light also destroyed valuables in the home including clothes and electronic.
Spokesman of the command, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, Asinim Butswat who confirmed the incident said the command received a distress call  from Kolo Division  on the fire outbreak at the residence of one Mrs Favour Udoh which killed three of her children.
He said Preliminary investigation revealed the fire was caused by a candle-light.
Butswat said the corpses were deposited at the Federal Medical Centre Mortuary, Yenagoa, for autopsy. Investigation is ongoing.
His words “On the 14/01/ 2016, at about 2305hrs, Policemen from Kolo Division responded to a distress call of fire outbreak, at the residence of one Mrs Favour Udoh, at Elebele Community in Ogbia LGA.
“The fire was put out. However, three of her children died in the inferno, namely: Daniel Udoh, Saviour Udoh and Joshua Udoh.
Preliminary investigation revealed the fire was caused by a candle-light. The Corpses were deposited at the Federal Medical Centre Mortuary, Yenagoa, for autopsy. Investigation is ongoing.”
